Annual Report 2009

In the beginning of October 2009 I moved to Guatemala City to start the three month project of designing the 2009 Annual Report for the Vice Presidency of the Republic of Guatemala. The report was my first time designing a publication and it was a great experience that helped me grow as a print designer. The whole report was put together by a small 3-man team: a designer, writer, and editor. Since the team was so small I performed the role of art director as well as designer. I was responsible for layout, procuring the rights to photographs, photo re-touching, illustrating infographics, management of print production, and art direction in general. The report had a circulation of 50 copies in English, 350 in Spanish, and was distributed within Guatemalan institutions, media outlets, and American governmental institutions as well.
